LIXTE to Acquire NOMAD in Power Pivot, Targets 3.5GW Battery Capacity
LIXT•LIXTE Biotechnology has agreed to acquire 100% of NOMAD Transportable Power Systems, positioning it as a deployable, utility-grade battery energy-storage provider and plans to rename itself NOMAD Power Solutions. The company projects revenue growth of ~135% in 2026 and >285% in 2027 as it scales manufacturing from 2.5GW to 3.5GW.
1. Strategic Acquisition and Company Pivot
LIXTE Biotechnology has entered a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of NOMAD Transportable Power Systems, marking a full exit from its clinical-stage oncology pipeline. Upon closing, the company will rebrand as NOMAD Power Solutions and shift its core business to power-infrastructure, targeting the electricity shortages driven by AI demand.
2. Deployable Utility-Grade Battery Platform
NOMAD’s flagship product is a mobile 1MW battery system built to institutional standards, featuring UL 9540 validation, lithium-iron-phosphate chemistry, integrated fire detection and suppression, and AI-assisted 24/7 monitoring. Its transportable design sidesteps lengthy land-use entitlements, environmental reviews and interconnection queues that delay permanent installations.
3. Manufacturing Scale and Growth Projections
The combined company plans to increase manufacturing capacity from 2.5GW in 2026 to 3.5GW in 2027. NOMAD reported 175% revenue growth in 2025 and is projecting approximately 135% growth in 2026 and over 285% in 2027. The board will include energy investor Stuart D. Porter, who oversaw more than $12 billion in capital deployments across energy sectors.
