LKQ appointed Salvatore A. “Sal” Abbate president and chief executive officer, effective December 15, 2026. Abbate previously served as CEO of Veritiv after holding its chief operating officer and chief commercial officer roles.

The board suspended its strategic review, including the Specialty sale process, to allow new leadership to assess the business.
