Lockheed Martin expands Alabama munitions plant to boost THAAD interceptor output

Lockheed Martin expanded missile-defense manufacturing with a new 87,000-square-foot Munitions Production Center in Troy, Alabama, to lift THAAD interceptor capacity.
The company also opened an 88,000-square-foot Next Generation Interceptor facility in Courtland, Alabama, built around advanced digital manufacturing to scale production.
The moves target faster delivery timelines for U.S. and allied demand, strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base through added capacity and skilled manufacturing jobs.
