Lockheed Martin partners with Australia, US Navy on medium-range ground air defense prototype test
LMT•Prototype live-fire test with Australia and the U.S. Navy
Lockheed Martin supported a Medium Range Ground Based Air Defence prototype live-fire test with Australia’s government and the U.S. Navy.
Taipan Strike 26 at Woomera integrated CEA radar, virtualised Aegis command-and-control, and a mobile launcher to engage a representative target.
The prototype leverages Aegis baselines tied to Australia’s Hunter-class frigate program and Hobart-class destroyer modernisation to boost cross-service interoperability.
Lockheed Martin Australia plans to integrate future MRGBAD into the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System architecture.
