Lockheed Martin plans USD 60 million expansion of Archbald, Pennsylvania munitions facility

Lockheed Martin outlined four capacity initiatives tied to a more than $9 billion push to meet higher munitions demand.

• Planned investment of more than $60 million to expand the Archbald, Pennsylvania, site, doubling its size and adding more than 700 jobs.
• New 150,000-sq-ft leased facility in Jessup, Pennsylvania, to add cable-and-harness capacity for missile programs; phased production to start in 2027.
• Orlando paint operations consolidated into a single shop, cutting cure time 15% and reducing bottlenecks for missile-system output.
• Ocala smart assembly line cut hours per unit about 50% for seeker and missile control unit sub-assemblies, supporting faster production ramp-ups.
