Lockheed Martin’s Javelin joint venture with Raytheon signed a memorandum of understanding with Tata Advanced Systems to co-produce Javelin missiles in India.
The plan explores a final assembly and integration site in India, supported by local component production to expand supply for rising demand.
Sub-assembly kits will come from Lockheed Martin’s Troy, Alabama, plant, while guidance electronics units will come from Raytheon’s Tucson, Arizona, plant.
The Javelin joint venture has produced more than 55,000 missiles, and the India line is intended to lift capacity and improve supply-chain resilience.
