Lockheed Martin Sikorsky partners with BETA to integrate MATRIX autonomy into ALIA MV250 aircraft
LMT•Sikorsky to integrate MATRIX autonomy into BETA aircraft
Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky will integrate its MATRIX autonomy suite into BETA Technologies’ ALIA MV250 hybrid VTOL aircraft.
The collaboration targets uncrewed logistics in contested environments, aiming to support rapid resupply and casualty evacuation missions.
Flight testing to validate autonomy and control integration
The companies reached a formal agreement earlier this month; MATRIX was integrated and flown on BETA’s CX300 within two weeks.
Flight testing will expand the operating envelope to validate MATRIX performance with BETA’s flight control system.
Sikorsky positions the MV250 as a midweight logistics platform using a modular open systems architecture to speed autonomy integration.
