Longeveron says stem cell therapy laromestrocel reduces neuroinflammation in Phase 2a mild Alzheimer’s trial analysis
LGVN•Development program status
The program holds FDA RMAT and Fast Track designations; Longeveron reported alignment with the FDA on a Phase 3 study design.
Biomarker changes at 39 weeks
Plasma biomarkers moved versus placebo at 39 weeks, including lower neurogranin in the 25Mx4 group (p=0.023) and higher IL-13 in 25Mx1 (p=0.043).
Additional Phase 2a CLEAR-MIND analyses
Longeveron disclosed additional Phase 2a CLEAR-MIND analyses showing laromestrocel reduced MRI-measured brain free water versus placebo in mild Alzheimer’s disease.
Post-hoc results linked lower free water with improved cognition, quality-of-life scores, and higher brain volume, supporting an anti-inflammatory mechanism.
