LPL Financial-affiliated advisors with CFP certification reached 6,200 as of December 31, 2025, the highest count in the industry, underscoring the firm's leadership in advisor qualifications. This milestone reflects LPL’s continued investments in integrated planning software, paraplanning and high-net-worth services that enhance its ClientWorks platform.
1. LPL Financial Achieves Record CFP® Certification
LPL Financial announced that 6,200 affiliated advisors held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation as of December 31, 2025, the highest total in the wealth management industry. This milestone underscores LPL’s investment in integrated technology and support services, including customizable planning software embedded in its ClientWorks platform, dedicated paraplanning and high-net-worth service teams, and enhanced case and practice management tools. According to Cerulli research, more than half of investors demand written financial plans, and LPL’s expanded certification base positions the firm to capture this unmet planning need at scale. Executive Vice President Tara Popernik noted that elevating CFP® representation accelerates LPL’s strategy to deliver fiduciary-aligned, planning-led advice across its network of over 32,000 advisors, who collectively manage approximately $2.3 trillion in client assets.
2. Moto Wealth Partners Joins Linsco by LPL Financial
Wealth advisors Breanne Bovara, CPWA®, and Derrick Petry, CFA®, launched Moto Wealth Partners within Linsco by LPL Financial after servicing roughly $2 billion in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets at their prior firm. Operating out of Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, the team brings 40 years of combined experience catering to high- and ultra-high-net-worth families. Their planning-first approach prioritizes goal-setting, cash flow analysis, tax strategy and estate structuring before investments, aiming to simplify complex financial transitions. LPL’s platform offers the operational autonomy, integrated planning resources and client engagement ecosystem the duo sought to deepen relationships and drive efficiency.
