These patents strengthen its LLM’s agentic AI for expansion in China and ASEAN after US$70m R&D spend from 2023-2025.

Lucas GC Limited received two invention patents related to agentic AI applications in insurance. Patent No. ZL 202310158569.X from China covers an AI-based robot automation process for insurance sales agents, while Patent No. HK40088280 from Hong Kong secures a blockchain-based credential vault system.
2. Market Opportunity
The China online insurance market is expected to exceed US$986 billion by 2029 at a 6.9% CAGR, while Vietnam’s general insurance market is projected to reach US$4 billion by 2029 at a 7.0% CAGR. These growth trajectories underscore strong demand for AI-driven automation and secure credentialing solutions.
3. Integration and R&D Investment
Lucas plans to integrate the patented agentic AI modules into its large language model to deliver significant cost reductions and efficiency gains for insurance clients. From 2023 to 2025, the company invested over US$70 million in R&D, representing more than 14% of its total revenue, to build its technology foundation.
4. Expansion Strategy
The company intends to deploy these technologies first in China and then across ASEAN insurance markets, leveraging its portfolio of 24 granted U.S. and Chinese patents and over 75 software copyrights.
