MACOM and Elve to Demonstrate V-Band TWTA Efficiency Boost at IMS 2026
MTSI•MACOM and Elve will demonstrate a V-Band linearized wave tube amplifier combining MACOM’s analog predistortion linearization and Elve’s high-power TWTA at IMS 2026 in Boston from June 9–11 in booth #17035. The collaboration aims to improve linear power performance and efficiency in mmWave systems for ground and space-based platforms.
1. Joint demonstration at IMS 2026
MACOM and Elve will showcase their combined APD linearization technology and high-power TWTA platform in booth #17035 during the International Microwave Symposium in Boston from June 9–11, 2026. The demonstration will operate at V-Band frequencies to highlight system-level integration.
2. Technology integration
MACOM’s analog predistortion linearization aims to correct signal distortion while Elve’s traveling wave tube amplifier delivers high output power, targeting improvements in linear power performance and overall system efficiency at millimeter-wave frequencies.
3. Target applications
The joint demo focuses on applications spanning ground-based communications, satellite payloads and defense systems operating in the V-Band spectrum, illustrating potential enhancements in usable output power for both terrestrial and space deployments.
