Madrigal wins three new US patents for MASH drug Rezdiffra, boosting IP protection

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals received three new U.S. patents covering Rezdiffra (resmetirom), strengthening protection in F2/F3 MASH through 2045.
Two patents will be listed in the FDA Orange Book, including dosing with moderate CYP2C8 inhibitors through 2045.
A separate Orange Book-listed patent covers co-administration with rosuvastatin, capping rosuvastatin at 20 mg/day, through 2042.
A third patent covers resmetirom use in well-compensated cirrhosis (F4c), extending protection through 2042.
