NVTS•Magnachip reported a Q3 2026 net loss of $12.54 million, while net sales fell to $43.98 million and gross margin dropped to 14%. It forecast Q4 net sales of $41 million to $45 million and gross margin of 10% to 12%.
1. Quarterly results
Magnachip’s Q3 2026 net loss more than doubled from the previous quarter to $12.54 million, while net sales fell to $43.98 million. Gross profit margin declined to 14%, primarily due to unfavorable foreign exchange movements.
2. Fourth-quarter outlook
The company projected Q4 2026 net sales of $41 million to $45 million and gross profit margin of 10% to 12%. It said the expected sequential margin decline primarily reflects lower utilization after a fab power shutdown for a substation upgrade and Korean won appreciation.
3. Strategic investment
Navitas Semiconductor made a $5 million strategic equity investment in Magnachip to strengthen their partnership developing next-generation power semiconductor solutions.
