MPC•Hydrotreater restart underway at Galveston Bay
HOUSTON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Marathon Petroleum MPC.N was restarting the residual hydrotreater at its 631,000 barrel-per-day Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas on Thursday, said people familiar with plant operations.
The 64,000 bpd hydrotreater, which removes sulfur from residual crude oil, was shut on Tuesday by a malfunction, the company said in a notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
