Marqeta expands collaboration with Google

Marqeta expanded its collaboration with Google to support a new “Wallet for kids” offering in Google Wallet for users under 18.

Google will use Marqeta’s card-issuing platform to enable tap-to-pay spending on Android and Wear OS without a traditional bank account.

Parental controls and tokenization features

Marqeta’s tokenization and real-time spend controls will let parents set daily limits, track transactions, receive notifications, and lock or unlock balances.
