1. Higher annual forecast
Marriott International raised its full-year 2026 revenue per available room (revPAR) growth forecast to 4.5%-5%, up from its prior forecast of 3%-3.5%. The company said it was betting strong travel demand would drive bookings across its properties.
2. Demand across segments
Wealthier consumers spent on luxury experiences, while demand for mid-scale and budget hotels also improved during the quarter. Leisure travel held up despite high inflation and geopolitical uncertainty, and business travel remained robust. Marriott's upscale segment, including Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis, reported roughly 12% revPAR growth in the U.S. and Canada.
