Marsh McLennan Agency agrees to acquire Accel Group
MMC•Marsh McLennan Agency to acquire Accel Holdings
Marsh McLennan Agency, a Marsh unit of Marsh & McLennan, agreed to acquire Accel Holdings, an independent insurance and advisory firm.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter; financial terms were not disclosed.
Accel is headquartered in Waverly, Iowa, with seven offices across Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas.
More than 130 Accel employees are expected to join Marsh McLennan Agency and remain in their current locations.
The acquisition adds retirement and wealth advisory services, bolsters agribusiness expertise, and expands Marsh McLennan Agency’s Upper Midwest footprint.
