Mastercard Powers Amazon’s New Prime Business Cards with Enhanced Rewards

MAMA

Mastercard and U.S. Bank have launched Amazon’s Prime Business and Amazon Business credit cards, featuring enhanced rewards programs and flexible financing options. Separately, the U.S. administration is reviewing Brazil’s Pix instant payment system, raising concerns over cross-border payment regulations that could affect Mastercard’s Latin America transaction volumes.

1. Amazon and U.S. Bank Launch Business Cards

Mastercard has partnered with U.S. Bank to power two new co-branded credit cards for Amazon’s Prime Business and Amazon Business customers. The cards offer enhanced rewards structures on business purchases, integration with Amazon’s procurement tools and up to 24 months of promotional financing to drive corporate card adoption.

2. U.S. Review of Brazil’s Pix Instant Payment System

The U.S. administration has initiated a formal review of Brazil’s Pix instant payment network to assess potential risks around cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance. Any resulting restrictions or additional reporting requirements could reduce transaction volumes and fee income for global payment processors such as Mastercard in the Latin American market.
