Mayfair Gold Launches District-Scale Exploration after Acquiring Three Timmins Properties

MINEMINE

Mayfair Gold launched a regional exploration program across its Timmins camp after acquiring Guibord, Marriott and Holloway properties along the Porcupine–Destor Fault Zone. It complements the 4.3 Moz indicated Fenn-Gib resource and targets high-grade gold, with intercepts up to 12.7 g/t Au over 0.5 m advancing to Phase 1 drilling.

1. Exploration Program Launch

Mayfair Gold initiated a regional exploration program across its Timmins camp, acquiring the Guibord, Marriott and Holloway properties to consolidate a land package along the Porcupine–Destor Fault Zone, one of the most prolific gold-bearing corridors in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

2. Fenn-Gib Resource and Drill Strategy

The consolidated package complements the flagship Fenn-Gib Gold Project’s 4.3 million ounce indicated resource (181.3 Mt at 0.74 g/t) advanced by a positive pre-feasibility study, with a staged Phase 1 drilling plan focused on higher-grade potential to optimize capital efficiency.

3. High-Grade Intercepts and Regional Targets

Recent drilling in the South Block confirmed structurally controlled gold mineralization with intercepts up to 12.7 g/t Au over 0.5 m, while multiple underexplored targets across the North Block and regional trends—including Johns-Manville, American Eagle, G-101 and historical Guibord zones—offer further upside.
