McEwen COO William Shaver to retire, taps three new vice presidents

McEwen on Aug. 24, 2026 set Chief Operating Officer William Shaver for planned retirement; he will remain a director of McEwen Copper.
Channa Kumarage was promoted to vice president, operations; he previously served as director of technical services and helped bring Froome into production and advanced Stock Mine.
Kevin Bromfield was promoted to vice president, development projects. His background includes mine construction and underground development, continuous improvement, ore sorting and shaft sinking.
Zahir Jina was promoted to vice president, permitting, government relations and sustainability. He is an environmental management and permitting professional with more than 15 years of experience.
