MediciNova signed new executive employment agreements on Aug. 17, 2026 for CEO Yuichi Iwaki and CMO Kazuko Matsuda.
- Iwaki base salary set at USD 690,246; target annual bonus set at 55% of base salary.
- Matsuda base salary set at USD 540,143; target annual bonus set at 40% of base salary.
Severance and change-in-control terms
Involuntary termination without a change in control triggers 12 months’ salary severance, up to 12 months of company-paid COBRA.
Change-in-control involuntary termination triggers 24 months’ pay for Iwaki, 18 months for Matsuda, both with target bonus and full equity vesting.
