MELI•MercadoLibre launched deliveries within an hour in São Paulo and plans to expand its pharmacy business in Brazil, including prescription sales through its own pharmacy this month.

MercadoLibre launched deliveries within an hour in São Paulo, starting with a test in an undisclosed part of the city. The service is expected to expand and will include medications, food and other products.
2. Pharmacy expansion
The company plans to add third-party pharmacies to its Brazilian e-commerce platform in October, beginning in São Paulo with three unnamed drugstore chains. It expects to have 20 third-party physical drugstore locations on the platform in the city by year-end. Its own São Paulo pharmacy began selling prescription products this month.
