MercadoLibre raises $1 billion in ten-year bond sale

SAO Paulo, Sept. 9 (Reuters) - MercadoLibre on Wednesday raised $1 billion through a dollar bond offering due 2036, a securities filing showed.
- The senior unsecured notes were priced with a 5.850% coupon and a yield to maturity of 6.139%.
- MercadoLibre said it plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
- The company has been growing investments across its markets and business units, a strategy that has also hit its profit margins.
- The deal was arranged by Allen & Company, Bank of America, Citi, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and Santander.
- The deal follows MercadoLibre's $750 million seven-year bond sale in December 2025.
