1. DTS AutoStage Video Adoption Accelerates Among Automakers

Xperi announced that its DTS AutoStage Video Service Powered by TiVo has now been adopted by five global OEMs, with three new commitments secured in the past 12 months. The platform’s rapid uptake underscores its position as a leading in-car video solution, delivering high-quality streaming and video-on-demand capabilities to connected vehicles around the world. Mercedes-Benz recently selected the service for upcoming model launches, marking the first time the automaker has integrated Xperi’s full connected-car suite—HD Radio, DTS AutoStage Audio and DTS:X immersive audio—into its vehicles.

2. Deepening Collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Builds on Longer-Term Partnership

Xperi’s relationship with Mercedes-Benz dates back to 2020, when the companies began collaborating on radio metadata and in-car audio experiences. The addition of DTS AutoStage Video represents a significant expansion of this partnership, enabling Mercedes-Benz to offer drivers and passengers seamless access to streamed movies, live events and VOD catalogs through the factory infotainment system. Xperi’s senior vice president of immersive entertainment, Jeff Jury, emphasized that the unified platform meets automakers’ growing demand for integrated digital entertainment solutions.

3. TiVo OS Unveils New Features and Expanded Footprint at CES 2026

At CES 2026, TiVo Platform Technologies showcased enhancements to TiVo OS designed to improve content discovery and engagement. Key innovations include a Partner Picks Carousel for provider recommendations, Home Page Hero Video Trailers with autoplay support, integrated Live Programs in Recommendations and advanced voice recognition improvements across multiple languages. The OS now powers millions of smart TVs—from 2K up to 4K—and extends to set-top boxes, soundbars and mini-LED monitors, reflecting a broader device ecosystem.

4. Content Partnerships and Sports Offerings Strengthen TiVo’s Market Position

TiVo has broadened its content ecosystem with new agreements including global anime leader Crunchyroll, Cineverse and iHeartRadio’s free streaming audio service. Sports fans benefit from expanded coverage through the official NBA app and a suite of free channels featuring NASCAR, Tennis TV, Red Bull TV and more. Geir Skaaden, EVP and Chief Product and Services Officer at Xperi, noted that these additions enhance TiVo OS’s appeal to consumers and advertisers by delivering diverse, real-time entertainment options on a single platform.
