The personalized mRNA vaccine, developed by Moderna and Merck, was tested with Merck’s Keytruda in more than 1,100 patients. Data from the first two years after treatment showed a 42% reduction in the risk of death or recurrence and a 38% reduction in disease spread.
2. Presentation ahead
The companies said in August that the treatment had succeeded in the trial but did not provide details. The results are scheduled to be presented Saturday at the European Society for Medical Oncology meeting in Madrid. Several Wall Street analysts had said investors were looking for a recurrence-risk reduction of 40% or more.
