Q2 loss narrows as R&D spending falls
Mereo BioPharma posted a Q2 2026 net loss of $7.01 million, narrowing from a $14.62 million loss a year earlier.
R&D expense fell to $1.81 million from $5.37 million, due to lower setrusumab and alvelestat program spending.
G&A expense edged down to $5.22 million from $5.49 million, on delayed pre-commercial investment for setrusumab in Europe.
Alvelestat licensing deal with Sentynl
Mereo entered an option and license deal with Sentynl for U.S. rights to alvelestat; Phase 3 is planned for early 2027 if the option is exercised.
