Meritage Homes lowers special meeting ownership threshold to 25%
MTH•Bylaws amended to lower special meeting threshold
Meritage Homes amended its bylaws on Aug. 20, 2026, cutting the stake needed to call a special meeting to 25% from 50%.
The change follows an advisory vote at the 2026 annual meeting backing the lower threshold.
The bylaws also set a mandatory director retirement age of 75, barring election or reelection beyond that age.
