Meta is reportedly adding a clearer safety warning within Muse after an outside researcher found a vulnerability in the AI agent and reported it through Meta’s bug bounty program. The flaw could have allowed an attacker to access a user’s dedicated virtual machine, which contains data including emails and files, an internal Meta incident report said.
2. Severity and downloads
The vulnerability was initially classified as “SEV-2,” Meta’s third-highest severity level on a five-point scale, typically used for incidents with significant impact. Launched earlier this month, Muse is designed to handle tasks such as shopping, travel booking, emailing and payments; Sensor Tower estimated about 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks.
