Meta Secures $600M Green Loan for 440MW Texas Solar Projects
Meta has committed to two Texas solar farms totaling 440MW under 15-year power purchase agreements financed by a $600m green loan facility, with construction already underway and operations slated for late 2027. 1. Meta Agrees 440MW Texas Solar PPA
Meta has signed two 15-year power purchase agreements for the Echols Grove (252MW) and Cedar Range (187MW) solar projects in Lamar and Hopkins counties, securing renewable energy supply to support its operational sustainability goals.
2. $600m Green Financing Facility Secured
Zelestra obtained a €519.25m ($600m) green loan from Société Générale and HSBC to fund construction of the 440MW portfolio, with McCarthy Building Companies handling engineering, procurement and construction, and commercial operations expected by end-2027.
3. ARK Funds Trim Meta Holdings
In the latest filings, Cathie Wood’s ARK Investment Management reduced its Meta position and reallocated proceeds into a top-performing AI equity, signaling a shift in portfolio strategy toward high-growth artificial intelligence plays.
