Methanex expects higher Q4 adjusted EBITDA on stronger methanol prices
MEOH•Methanex expects fourth-quarter 2026 adjusted EBITDA to exceed the third quarter’s $543 million, with October-November realized methanol prices forecast at $525-$550 per metric ton, up from $510 in the third quarter.
1. Fourth-quarter outlook
Methanex expects fourth-quarter 2026 adjusted EBITDA to exceed the third quarter’s $543 million, primarily reflecting higher realized methanol prices. The company forecasts October-November prices of $525-$550 per metric ton, compared with $510 in the third quarter, while produced methanol sales are expected to remain similar to the third quarter’s 2,272,000 metric tons.
2. Production guidance
Methanex expects full-year 2026 production of approximately 9,000,000 metric tons of methanol and 300,000 metric tons of ammonia, including full-year OCI ownership. Third-quarter adjusted EBITDA was down from $577 million in the second quarter, primarily because of lower realized prices, partly offset by higher produced sales.
