Methanex Q2 FY26 net income swings to USD 198 million; revenue rises to USD 1.4 billion

Methanex booked a USD 115 million non-cash asset impairment charge, net of tax, tied to the indefinite idling of the Titan plant and Trinidad restructuring.
The company guided for July–August average realized price of USD 460 to USD 485 per tonne, flagging lower adjusted EBITDA in Q3 on lower realized pricing.
Q2 results return to profit on higher pricing and revenue
Methanex posted Q2 2026 net income attributable to shareholders of USD 198 million, returning to profit from a Q1 loss of USD 14 million.
Revenue climbed 43.22% from Q1 to USD 1.4 billion, while average realized price rose 50.71% to USD 529 per tonne.
Adjusted EBITDA (non-GAAP) more than doubled from Q1 to USD 577 million, while adjusted net income (non-GAAP) rose to USD 300 million.
