MetLife Investment Management closed about $1.2 billion in commitments for MetLife Investment Private Equity Partners Fund III.
The managed secondary transaction bought about $754 million of private equity interests with total funded and unfunded commitments of $966 million.
Funds managed by Lexington Partners anchored the deal as lead investor.
The fund acquired a globally diversified portfolio of nearly 80 private equity and venture capital investments.
The closing follows MIPEP I at about $1.6 billion in 2022 and MIPEP II at about $1.2 billion in 2024.
