Michelin ResiCare sets up first industrial bio-based monomer production line at Ajinomoto’s Nesle site
Michelin will install its first industrial line for DragonFly bio-based resins at Ajinomoto’s Nesle site in France, targeting up to 96% lower greenhouse gas emissions than a fossil-based equivalent molecule.

Michelin will install a fermentation-based production line for a bio-based aromatic monomer at Ajinomoto’s Nesle site in France. Construction began in May 2026, and commissioning is scheduled for early Q2 2027; Michelin estimates the molecule could cut greenhouse gas emissions by up to 96% versus a fossil-based equivalent.
