Microchip Launches TimePictra 12 with 5,000-Element Support and GNSS Threat Detection
MCHP•Microchip’s TimePictra 12 platform adds a modernized GUI and expanded automation to its synchronization management suite, supporting centralized monitoring of up to 5,000 network elements. It enhances GNSS threat detection with BlueSky technology and maintains nanosecond-precision clock alignment using HA-TT and SkyWire capabilities.
1. Platform Overview
Microchip’s TimePictra 12 marks a major upgrade to its synchronization management software, introducing a modern graphical user interface and expanded automation. It centralizes control of network clocks, allowing operators to visualize relationships and streamline management across large-scale timing architectures.
2. Enhanced Technical Capabilities
The platform supports High-Accuracy Time Transfer (HA-TT) connections, integrates BlueSky technology for real-time GNSS anomaly detection, and uses SkyWire to preserve nanosecond-precision clock alignment. Capacity has more than doubled to 5,000 elements per deployment, accelerating rollouts and configuration tasks.
3. Target Markets and Availability
TimePictra 12 addresses needs in telecom, power utilities, data centers, transportation and AI infrastructure by improving resilience and reducing GNSS dependence. The software is available now as a new purchase or upgrade, with support for Microchip’s grandmaster clocks and synchronization devices.
