MCRP•Micropolis AI Robotics signed a five-year agreement with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport to design, build, deploy and maintain a Physical AI-powered autonomous cleaning ecosystem, beginning with an initial fleet of AI-driven sweepers. The solution integrates advanced perception, sensor fusion, intelligent navigation and predictive maintenance.
Micropolis AI Robotics has entered into a five-year contract with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport covering the design, production, deployment, operation and maintenance of a Physical AI-powered urban cleaning ecosystem. The initiative starts with an initial fleet of autonomous mini sweepers across key municipal zones.
The deployed sweepers feature integrated perception systems, sensor fusion modules, AI-driven navigation, real-time fleet orchestration and predictive maintenance capabilities. This vertically integrated solution leverages Micropolis’s robotics software, edge computing and proprietary fleet intelligence for end-to-end autonomous operations.
This partnership represents a milestone in deploying Physical AI in public infrastructure and supports the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031 by showcasing scalable, efficient municipal services. The deal positions Micropolis as a leading provider of smart city robotics solutions in the Middle East.
As part of the agreement, Micropolis will collaborate with Khalifa University on research, validation and knowledge transfer initiatives to advance autonomous robotics capabilities. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and enhance local expertise in Physical AI technologies.
