Microsoft expands Mistral partnership to offer enterprise AI across Azure and Copilot Studio

Microsoft expanded its strategic partnership with Mistral to deploy Mistral AI models across Foundry, Copilot Studio and Azure.

The deal includes a multibillion-dollar commitment for Microsoft to use Mistral’s expanded Europe-based GPU infrastructure to boost AI compute capacity.

Mistral Medium 3.5 and OCR 4 have launched on Microsoft Foundry, and Medium 3.5 has been integrated into Copilot Studio for enterprise customers.

Azure will support Mistral model deployments in cloud, cloud-connected and fully offline environments, targeting regulated industries that need tighter data control.

The companies will also run a joint go-to-market program, including funded proofs of concept, Azure credits and customer workshops.
