MicroStrategy holds 818,334 BTC and recently added 3,273 BTC for $255 million at $77,906 per coin. Year-to-date, it has acquired 142,561 BTC at an average cost near $78,000, leaving it 181,666 BTC short of its 1 million target.

2. Funding Gap and Capital Structure

At current bitcoin prices, MicroStrategy faces an estimated $14 billion funding gap to reach its 1 million BTC goal, based on a $61.8 billion total cost basis. The company’s balance sheet includes $8.25 billion of debt, $13.53 billion in perpetual preferred obligations and $1.49 billion in annual dividend payments.

3. STRC Preferred Share Activity

Trading volume in MicroStrategy’s STRC perpetual preferred shares rose to $7.2 billion in April from $5.7 billion in March, underscoring robust investor demand for its equity-linked financing vehicle.
