Mid Penn Bancorp posts Q2 net income available to common shareholders of $21.7 million; diluted EPS of $0.85, topping the $0.79 consensus estimate.
Diluted EPS more than doubled from $0.22 a year earlier; results reflected the William Penn acquisition plus a full quarter of 1st Colonial.
Tax-equivalent net interest margin widened to 4.06% from 3.80% in Q1, helped by higher investment securities and loan yields plus lower funding costs.
