Mind Robotics Raises $500M Series A at $2B Valuation for Factory AI Robots

RIVNRIVN

Mind Robotics, spun out of Rivian in November 2025, raised $500 million in a Series A co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz for a $2 billion valuation. The startup will deploy AI-powered factory robots trained on Rivian’s EV production data and may leverage its custom silicon processors.

1. Series A Funding and Valuation

Mind Robotics secured $500 million in a Series A round co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz, following a $115 million seed round. The financing brings total funding to $615 million and sets the company’s valuation at around $2 billion.

2. Industrial Robotics Technology Focus

The startup is developing AI-driven factory robots that learn dexterous, adaptive tasks from data collected at Rivian’s electric vehicle production plant, aiming to address complex manufacturing work beyond repeatable motions and avoiding humanoid designs.

3. Collaboration and Future Synergies

As a Rivian spin-out chaired by RJ Scaringe, Mind Robotics could integrate Rivian’s custom silicon processors—originally built for autonomous driving software—into its robotics hardware, highlighting potential cross-division technology sharing.
