MiniMed said higher alert engagement among people using its connected insulin pen system was linked to better glucose control. A real-world analysis of more than 5,500 users also tied frequent alert responses to better control; no severe hypoglycemia or diabetic ketoacidosis was reported in the Smart MDI arm during the study.
