MIRA Pharmaceuticals Secures Global Exclusive Rights for MIRA-55, SKNY-1
MIRA•MIRA Pharmaceuticals executed an amended and restated license agreement, securing worldwide exclusive development, commercialization and IP enforcement rights to its pipeline candidates MIRA-55 and SKNY-1. The deal consolidates global ownership of these oral investigational drugs and positions the company for future IND filings and strategic partnerships.
1. License Agreement Execution
MIRA Pharmaceuticals amended and restated its exclusive license agreement with MIRALOGX LLC, granting the company worldwide exclusive development, commercialization, sublicensing and intellectual property enforcement rights to both MIRA-55 and SKNY-1. The transaction maintains the original economic terms while unifying global rights under a single structure for MIRA’s core therapeutic pipeline.
2. Candidate Details
MIRA-55 is an oral cannabinoid analog targeting CB1 and CB2 pathways for chronic inflammatory pain, demonstrating preclinical analgesic efficacy comparable to injected morphine and classified as non-controlled by the DEA. SKNY-1 combines selective CB1 modulation, CB2 activity and MAO-B inhibition, showing dose-dependent weight loss and lipid normalization in preclinical models without reducing lean body mass.
3. Strategic Positioning
The unified global rights structure strengthens MIRA’s intellectual property portfolio and enhances its ability to pursue future licensing, co-development and commercialization deals. With Ketamir-2 advancing into Phase 2a and IND filings planned for MIRA-55 and SKNY-1, the company solidifies its strategic flexibility with partners and investors across all key markets.
