Mission Produce to close three distribution facilities in post-Calavo consolidation

Mission Produce will close three distribution facilities as it restructures operations following its Calavo acquisition completed May 28, 2026.

Network changes include consolidating Swedesboro, New Jersey operations into one site, combining Dallas-area sites into Garland, Texas.

Calavo’s Jacksonville, Florida facility will shut, with workforce reductions tied to closures and California consolidation.

Expected charges include $1.4 million in severance, $8.6 million in accelerated depreciation, and $5.4 million in asset retirement obligations.

Lease termination costs were not estimated, with total restructuring costs not yet quantifiable.
