Mitsubishi Motors, Honda team up on Triton-based pickup for ASEAN market
HMC•Mitsubishi Motors signed an MOU with Honda on Oct. 22, 2026, to develop a Honda pickup based on the Triton, with a launch in ASEAN markets scheduled for 2028.
1. Pickup collaboration
Mitsubishi Motors signed an MOU with Honda to develop a Honda pickup based on the Triton, scheduled to launch in ASEAN markets in 2028. The collaboration is expected to increase production volume and improve capacity utilization at Mitsubishi Motors’ Thailand plant. The agreement builds on a strategic partnership established with Nissan under an Aug. 1, 2024, MOU.
