2. AI Ecosystem Supply Outlook
Analysts project tight supplies of memory and CPUs to persist through 2027, which could restrict upside potential for server makers like SMCI in the second half of 2026 despite robust order books.
3. New Server Platforms and Data Center Blueprints
SMCI unveiled 12 new server platforms powered by Intel’s Xeon 6+ processors, offering up to 288 cores per socket and enhanced performance per watt, alongside modular AI data center designs scaling from 1,152-GPU clusters to gigawatt-scale facilities.
4. Smuggling Prevention Efforts
In collaboration with Taiwanese authorities, SMCI helped intercept 50 AI servers smuggled through an authorized reseller, bolstering supply chain security and compliance for its global AI infrastructure deployments.
