Mizuho Securities selects HPE Cray XD2000 systems for new liquid-cooled data center
HPE•Hewlett Packard Enterprise won an order from Mizuho Securities for HPE Cray XD2000 systems with direct liquid cooling. Installation starts this fall, with production targeted for mid-2027 and an initial rollout of eight server nodes.
1. Deployment plans
Mizuho Securities will build a liquid-cooling-ready data center, with installation starting this fall and production targeted for mid-2027. The initial rollout covers eight server nodes, with staged expansion planned as Mizuho evaluates production benefits. Mizuho expects 1.6 times the performance per server node versus its current environment and aims to support growing derivatives simulation workloads.
2. Future computing
The project will also allow Mizuho to assess GPU-accelerated compute for future private AI infrastructure.
