Modular Medical partners with IMO Health on EHR pilot to identify insulin pump candidates

The pilot is targeting multiple-daily-injection patients with signs of poor control or prior pump issues to support commercialization of Modular Medical’s Pivot tubeless patch pump.
The work will be conducted with a large diabetes center and is intended to create a multi-site deployment framework ahead of an expected fourth-quarter Pivot launch.
Pilot collaboration with IMO Health
Modular Medical has entered a pilot collaboration with IMO Health to build an EHR-deployable algorithm that can identify diabetes patients likely to benefit from insulin pumps.
The project combines clinician-defined phenotypes with IMO Health terminology identifiers to automate patient identification and reduce manual chart review.
