Molins-led carbon capture project selected for EU Innovation Fund funding
LIN•The Mosusol-NetCO₂ project, led by Molins with Enagás and Linde, was selected for EU Innovation Fund funding, subject to signing a grant agreement. It targets annual CO₂ capture of around 1 million tonnes at a cement plant near Barcelona and could avoid up to 1.1 million tonnes of emissions annually.
1. Project details
The project targets annual CO₂ capture of around 1 million tonnes at the Sant Vicenç dels Horts cement plant near Barcelona, covering approximately 97% of clinker production emissions. Enagás will develop CO₂ transport infrastructure, while Linde will supply carbon capture technology and oxygen for the production process.
