Momenta and Stellantis' China JV with Dongfeng to co-develop intelligent driving technology
STLA•Momenta signed a global strategic partnership with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology to develop an advanced driver-assistance system for mass-produced Peugeot and Jeep models. The technology is intended for deployment in China, Europe and other markets; Momenta software is used in more than 1.2 million vehicles.
1. Partnership details
Momenta said it signed the partnership on Thursday with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) and the Stellantis brands Peugeot and Jeep. The companies will jointly develop an advanced intelligent driver-assistance system for new mass-produced models.
2. Planned deployment
The technology is planned for China, Europe and other markets. Peugeot and Jeep will work with Momenta on product definition and co-development of driving-assistance features aligned with their brand identities.
3. Wider expansion
Stellantis formed the joint venture with Dongfeng in August to better compete against Chinese rivals. The deal extends Momenta's work beyond its mainstay German premium automaker customers; its driver-assistance software has been used in more than 1.2 million vehicles.
