Momentus Secures $76M Cash After $57.2M Funding, Launches Vigoride 7 with 10 Payloads
MNTS•Momentus holds $76 million in cash and zero debt after raising $16.7M in Q1 financing, a $5M private placement at $3.75 per share, $10.5M in Class A stock and a $25M institutional placement. Its Vigoride 7 spacecraft has deployed 10 payloads into low Earth orbit and begun customer commissioning.
1. Financial Strengthening
In the first quarter, Momentus raised $16.7 million in net cash from financing and closed a $5.0 million private placement at $3.75 per share on April 16. In May, it sold Class A stock for $10.5 million and completed a $25.0 million private placement of 2.94 million shares, bringing cash, equivalents, and short-term investments to about $76.0 million while remaining debt-free.
2. Vigoride 7 Mission Progress
Momentus launched its Vigoride 7 spacecraft on March 30 aboard the SpaceX Transporter-16 mission, successfully deploying 10 customer payloads into low Earth orbit. Since separation from the Falcon 9, the spacecraft has performed as planned and begun initial commissioning activities for government and commercial payloads.
3. Upcoming Payload Operations
Several additional customer payloads are in commissioning or scheduled for deployment in coming months, including a NASA satellite release and a rendezvous and proximity operations demonstration under a SpaceWERX contract with the U.S. Space Force. These operations aim to validate Vigoride’s in-space services for defense, NASA and commercial clients.
