Morgan Stanley Opens ShareWorks to AI Agents; Sunshine Silver’s $270M IPO

MS•Sunshine Silver raised $270 million by selling 20 million shares at $13.50 each, valuing it at $1.9 billion to fund its Idaho mine restart in 2028. Morgan Stanley will enable external AI agents on ShareWorks and Equity Edge platforms for 3,400 clients by next year.
Morgan Stanley will open its ShareWorks and Equity Edge stock-plan platforms to autonomous AI agents, allowing external systems to pull data directly without human interfaces. The rollout, currently in early access, will extend to 3,400 administration clients by next year and is implemented through the open-source Model Context Protocol.
Sunshine Silver sold 20 million shares at $13.50 each to raise $270 million, valuing the company at $1.9 billion, and plans to use the proceeds to restart mining and processing at its Sunshine Mine in Idaho by 2028. Electrum Group LLC will control about 60.7% of voting power, while underwriters have a 30-day option on 3 million additional shares.
